About the Author
My name is Tables Mesa and I’m an author/illustrator from Opa-Locka, Florida. I graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in Illustration and an award for Best Portfolio. After graduating, I worked in art retail until early 2020. Currently, I’m living in Orlando where I work as a full-time digital pre-press technician for a tradeshow graphics company.
Many of the video games I grew up playing as a child were a huge influence on me and my art style. In particular the SNES, Sega Genesis, and Gameboy Color had a major impact on me as an artist early on. Along with much of the drawn media I consumed growing up, I take a lot of inspiration from manga art, resulting in art that makes use of delicate linework and bold, colorful palettes.
